পূর্ব প্রকাশিত হওয়ার পর---

নবম ও দশম শ্রেণির English Second Paper এর Question No. 9 এ Tag Question এসে থাকে। Tag Question এ ভাল করতে হলে Sentence, Verb ও Tense সম্পর্কে মৌলিক ধারণা থাকতে হবে।

Rule–3: মূল Sentence এ যদি Auxiliary (সাহায্যকারী) Verb ই ব্যবহার করতে হবে।

Example: Hasan is too weak to walk, is he?

Rule–4: মূল Sentence এ Auxiliary verb  না থাকলে, Positive Tag এর ক্ষেত্রে Tense, Subject, Number ও Person অনুযায়ী do, does, did এবং Negative Tag এর ক্ষেত্রে don’t, doesn’t, didn’t ব্যবহার করে Tag Question তৈরী করতে হবে।

Example: Asraful plays football, doesn’t he?

Rule–5: মূল Sentence এ Modal Auxiliary Verb হিসেবে যদি can, could, will, would, may, might, must, shall, should, ought to, need, would, rather, had, better, dare থাকে তাহলে Positive Tag Question করার সময় তা ব্যবহার করতে হবে। Negative Tag করার সময় not যুক্ত form ব্যবহার করতে হবে।

যেমন: Shall not এর পরিবর্তে shan’t will not এর পরিবর্তে won’t, cannot এর পরিবর্তে can’t ইত্যাদি।

Example: 

(a) A student must be regular in studies, mustn’t he/she?

(b) Everybody can’t be happy, can they?

Rule–6: Imperative sentence যদি verb দিয়ে শুরু হয় তাহলে “will you” বা won’t you ব্যবহার করে Tag Question করতে হবে।

Example: 

(a) Open the door, won’t you?

(b) Don’t be late, will you?

Rule–7: যদি imperative sentence টি verb দিয়ে শুরু হয় এবং তা দ্বারা অনুরোধ বোঝায় তাহলে Tag Question এ can you অথবা could you ব্যবহার করতে হবে।

Example: 

(a) Help me please, can you/could you?

(b) Give an orange, can you/could you?
