EPSODE-2

নবম ও দশম শ্রেণির English Second Paper এর Question No. 9 এ Tag Question এসে থাকে। Tag Question এ ভাল করতে হলে Sentence, Verb ও Tense সম্পর্কে মৌলিক ধারণা থাকতে হবে।

পূর্ব প্রকাশিত হওয়ার পর---

v) Tag Question গঠনের সময় ব্যবহৃত Verb কে Operator বলা হয়।

(a) Affirmative / positive Tag Question গঠনের সময় ব্যবহৃত operator গুলো হলো: Am, is, are, was, were, will, shall, can, could, may, might, must, has, have, had, do, does, did, ought, dare, need, 

(b) Negative Tag এর জন্য Operator + not এর সংক্ষিপ্তরূপ বসে। নিচে Negative Tag Question এ ব্যবহৃত Not যুক্ত Operator গুলোর Full Negative ও Tag form দেওয়া হলো:

am not - aren’t/ain’t

 is not – isn’t

are not – aren’t

was not – wasn’t

were not – weren’t

will not – won’t

shall not – shan’t

cannot – can’t

could not – couldn’t

may not – mayn’t

might not – mightn’t

must not – mustn’t

has not – hasn’t

have not – haven’t

had not – hadn’t

do not – don’t

does not – doesn’t

did not – didn’t

ought not – oughtn’t

dare not – daren’t

need not – needn’t

Some Important Rules of Tag Question:

Rule – 1: Affirmative বা হ্যাঁ বোধক Sentence কে Tag Question করতে, 

প্রথমে প্রদত্ত ‍Sentence টি অপরিবর্তিত থাকবে + Comma (,) + Negative Tag+Question Mark (?) বসাতে হবে।

Example: Sumi goes to school daily, doesn’t he?

Rule – 2: Negative বা না বোধক Sentence কে Tag Question করতে প্রথমে প্রদত্ত Sentence টি অপরিবর্তিত থাকবে + Comma (,) +Possitive tag+ Question Mark (?) বসাতে হবে।

Example: Cows can’t fly, can they?
